I was so fortunate to get Patrick as my nurse in the ICU. He was extremely attentive, thorough, knowledgeable, gentle, caring, kind, and seasoned. He was humorous and made me laugh when I needed it most. Patrick was so comforting to me during the most painful and frightening time in my life.

At one point, my fever was really high, and I wasn't due for any pain meds for a few hours. I was panicking and overwhelmed with pain. Patrick stayed by my side, put heat packs under my back, and calmed me down by deep breathing with me. I miraculously fell asleep. This is my most memorable story about Patrick. I looked forward to seeing him every day because he took the best care of me and truly made my hospital stay a positive experience. 

Please know that Patrick is an asset to your Kaiser nursing staff team. I know my experience with him is not unique. He is an excellent nurse who embodies efficiency and compassion. Any patient who gets assigned to him is very lucky indeed.
