Pat Ryan-Krause, MS, RN, MSN, CPNP is an Associate Professor of Nursing in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Specialty where she has served since January 1996. She holds a Bachelor?s degree in English from Stonehill College, a Master?s degree in Special Education from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University. She teaches pediatric and family nurse practitioner students in didactic courses as well as precepting them in clinical pediatric practice. Pat has been the Interim Director of the Center for International Nursing Scholarship and Education since 2008. In this role she has engaged students and faculty in a variety of global activities internationally and domestically. In 2013, Pat launched the global health concentration at YSN and now coordinates the concentration including students? direct work with global populations, interdisciplinary course work outside of YSN and scholarly papers. Pat has been faculty leader for YSN students working in Nicaragua for the last ten years. She has won many awards including; Global Health award, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, 2016; 90 Nurses for 90 Years Award, Yale School of Nursing, 2013; Annie Goodrich award for Excellence in Teaching, Yale School of Nursing, 2003 and 2008; PNP of the Year, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, 2011; Faculty Marshall, Yale University, 2011.
