Thank you for making our family feel so fortunate to have met such a caring and attentive nurse.
1st Nomination
I met Patch when I went for an echocardiogram at Takua Pa Hospital. Patch explained the procedure very well, gave good advice, and was polite and attentive.
When I was referred to Bangkok Hospital Phuket for a coronary angiogram, days later, ’Patch still came to receive me and continued to take care of me, even though she had to travel to work in Patong.

When she returned, she still checked on my condition with genuine concern. Even though I am an NHSO patient and do not pay the same treatment fees as self-paying patients, Patch cared for me equally, without discrimination between rich and poor.

I am truly impressed by Patch for treating all patients with the same compassion and dignity.

2nd Nomination
Back in 2023, my uncle suddenly fainted and lost consciousness. An ECG was performed, and he was referred to an internal medicine specialist at Takua Pa Hospital. He then underwent a mobile echocardiogram service by Bangkok Hospital Phuket. The ECG result showed sinus rhythm +/- 2:1 AV block (as written in his medical record). He later had a Holter monitor done at Bangkok Hospital Phuket.

That was when we met a nurse (Patcharee Sangthong). That day, I truly felt what it meant to receive good service — meeting a nurse who spoke kindly, took great care of us, and provided excellent advice and support. It was incredibly healing for both the patient and the family. My uncle was anxious and stressed, and so was I. But meeting such a good nurse eased so much of the fear and heaviness in that difficult moment.

Fortunately, the Holter results came back normal, and he was able to return home with peace of mind. Until today,  my uncle came to a clinic because he was having difficulty breathing and nasal congestion. His blood pressure was extremely high at 220/100, and his heart rate was 30 bpm. After learning more history, we found out he had been easily fatigued for two weeks—getting tired after climbing just 2 to 3 steps.

The doctor referred him to Khao Lak Medical Center for an ECG, gave him medications to stimulate the heart and lower his blood pressure, and then sent him to Takua Pa Hospital for further evaluation. His blood work and chest X-ray were normal. At that moment, I was extremely worried and afraid for my uncle. Our family decided to bring him to Bangkok Hospital Phuket for treatment because of the availability of specialists and advanced equipment.

We contacted the hospital and arranged an appointment with the doctor on Sunday. The doctor was wonderful—he explained the heart’s electrical conduction system in a way that was easy to understand. He performed an echocardiogram that day and scheduled a pacemaker implantation for Tuesday. We were relieved and grateful that my uncle could receive treatment so quickly.

In the midst of a difficult time for our family, there was still good news—the hospital informed us that the pacemaker procedure would be fully covered under the Universal Coverage Scheme (gold card), with no additional cost. The surgery went smoothly, and my uncle recovered well and was able to return home. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Bangkok Hospital Phuket, the doctor, and all the nurses—especially Patcharee Sangthong, who helped coordinate everything from the doctor’s visit, examinations, surgery, and paperwork, to giving us guidance on treatment rights, pre-operative preparation, post-operative care, and ongoing follow-ups.

Thank you for making our family feel so fortunate to have met such a caring and attentive nurse. Thank you for making the hospital environment feel warm and reassuring.

Thank you sincerely from our hearts.
