June 2026 Honoree
Parker Terry, RN, Associate
We would like to nominate Parker Terry, ICU nurse, for outstanding service and recommend him for the DAISY Award, the highest award available for your team members. Parker works as an RN in the ICU at the highest level; he is caring, compassionate, and responsive, provides outstanding service, shows empathy, keeps you informed, and tells you the truth, including the consequences of not doing something. We fully trusted Parker and his ability to care for P in the ICU.
Parker has great relationships with his coworkers, and they seem to all work well together, which is a huge plus, especially in life-or-death situations. Mosaic has many other great team members, but Parker stands out above them all. Some quick notes on how Parker shines: He listens and can repeat back not only the medical information he's learned, but also our cats' names, our favorite vacation spots, etc. Parker makes it personal and makes a connection, helping to put all of us at ease. Parker gets to know the family and asks many other questions when checking for patient responsiveness and talks about what we like to do/hobbies, etc. He made the time personal, and you felt the trust and connection. During the hospital visit and MET team calls, Parker could have just dealt with the patient, their meds, readings, etc., but he cared and was thoughtful with his words and support. Even when I (spouse) had a couple of meltdowns, Parker handled that too, supported me, talked to me, reassured me, and, again, was honest with me.
Sometimes things happen and require cleanup, and Parker made sure to not only address the issues, but do it with dignity and respect for P. It was never a problem or imposition. Parker was so commanding of the situations that when my brother visited, he thought Parker was the doctor! Again, when Parker was on duty, we felt 100% trust and felt safe knowing he was there to take care of P. Parker shows respect for his fellow teammates. I heard numerous thank-yous, "I appreciate you/that," and he appeared to be there for his coworkers, and they were there for him. Great mutual respect and appreciation amongst the team!
Another trait of Parker's is that this mutual respect and willingness to help coworkers isn't easy to train, especially given how Parker lives it. Bottom line, Parker is one of a kind. We have never had someone so caring, trusting, friendly, interested, honest, supportive, and there for the whole family to help them through a very tough time, and we just wanted the Mosaic leadership to know how pleased we were that he came into both our lives, and thank him for his genuine concern and caring during our time in ICU. We hope Mosaic will find a way to recognize such an outstanding individual. Thank you, Parker, for helping to save P's life and helping both of us get through this very trying time! Mosaic and all their patients are lucky to have you take care of them.
