Pamela Faust is an exceptional leader who is always there for her team. She is compassionate and strives for excellence from herself and those around her. She has the highest level of skills in our unit and continues to lead by example. Her number one task for her career as a leader was to lead the initiative to obtain the AACN Beacon Award.

Not only was she successful in this submission, but we got the highest level of distinction of Gold Status, which is an extreme honor. She has also led efforts for the system by leading the system-wide ICU best practice committee as an ANM and has committed herself to improving code response and team dynamics to achieve a Gold level American Heart Association title for ACLS response for South Miami, we already with her help achieved a silver award in our first year submitting data to Get with the Guidelines.

She also led the system-wide initiative with MCVI to create and implement workflows to begin ERAS Cardiac Surgery, which allows South Miami to provide another service line to our community. She has been a great addition to our leadership team and to the growth of South Miami Hospital Critical Care Services.
