I would like to commend Nurse Paige Nichols for the exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism she demonstrated while caring for my daughter B in the Emergency Department.

B came into the ER with a severe infection, and Paige immediately made a difficult and stressful situation more manageable through her kindness, patience, and expertise. She provided outstanding nursing care and treated my daughter with genuine concern and respect, helping her feel comfortable and supported throughout her visit.

What made Paige's care truly extraordinary was the time she took to connect with my daughter on a personal level. B is a high school junior who hopes to become a medical professional someday. Paige learned about her goals and took the initiative to talk with her about nursing as a career. She shared her personal journey into the nursing career field, discussed the various nursing programs and opportunities available through Good Samaritan Hospital, and spoke passionately about how much she loves both the hospital and being a nurse.

Paige's enthusiasm, encouragement, and authenticity left a tremendous impression on my daughter. In a moment when she was frightened and not feeling well, Paige inspired her to continue pursuing her dreams. It is rare to encounter someone who can provide excellent clinical care while also serving as such a positive role model.

Paige exemplifies everything the nursing profession stands for: compassion, professionalism, excellence, and dedication to helping others. She not only cared for my daughter's physical health but also encouraged her future aspirations. Because of her kindness and willingness to share her experiences, my daughter left the hospital feeling inspired and more determined than ever to pursue a career in health care.

Paige is a true asset to Good Samaritan Hospital and a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional care and inspiration she provided.
