She stayed with me for all my nebulizer treatments and talked with me through them, kept the mood lighthearted, and always made sure I had everything I needed, no hesitation.
Paige welcomed me to my room when I was transferred very late at night after an exhausting and long day spent at the ER. This was my first time being in the hospital for more than a decade, and being an out-of-state student means I am unfortunately far from my family, and they were unable to support me. It was scary to be experiencing this alone. While in the ER for nearly 12 hours, I didn’t feel that I had super attentive care. I was often left with machines beeping for long periods of time and my nebulizer running, making it just a loud and generally uncomfortable setting. That changed when I was transferred to the University of Washington Northwest.

Paige immediately made me feel welcome. She stayed with me for all my nebulizer treatments and talked with me through them, kept the mood lighthearted, and always made sure I had everything I needed, no hesitation. She was so kind to me and gentle with her care, especially when waking me up in the early hours for medicine. When she was off her night shift, she came in to check on me and say goodbye. It meant a lot to me that she stopped to talk to me for a few minutes rather than just clocking out after what I’m sure was a long shift. I felt so safe the entire time I was in her care! Anyone who has her as a nurse would be lucky.
