When she became my dad’s nurse, I wanted nobody but her. She radiates compassion.
Orelia is a beautiful human being with a heart of gold. Truly, there are no words that can describe how much I appreciated her during our visit.

When she became my dad’s nurse, I wanted nobody but her. She radiates compassion. Every time she walked through the door, she brought with her a ray of joy, peace, and even laughter, which was a life-saving experience for us as we were navigating my dad's entering hospice.

Her joy mixed with compassion and brilliance gave us peace that she was doing all she could to keep my dad comfortable. Her bedside manner was as if she were one of his own family members. She continued to talk to him even when he was unresponsive, and not every nurse did that.

She would continually check on us and make sure I was taken care of. I never had to come ask for his medication for comfort. She was always on time and figured out his rhythm to try to beat any discomfort that would come if we didn't keep up with it.

When he needed a new IV, she didn't just try to do it. She knew her strong points and weaknesses, and in the condition my dad was in, she didn't want to attempt knowing someone else could do it better. That alone is such a fantastic trait to carry. Orelia is humble. I admire that in her.

On her last shift, she hugged us, said goodbye to my dad, and wished us well. While losing a parent is not easy, I couldn't have asked for a better nurse to have. I wish she could have been here the entire time. And she was one of the best advocates for my dad nursing wise.

Again, compassionate, caring, loving, and deserving of being recognized for all she does for her patients. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Orelia, for caring so beautifully for my dad and us as a whole.
