Olivia Van Anne, RN

I want to nominate Olivia for the DAISY Award because she has been my nurse for both of my surgeries over the past three months, and she truly made a difference in my experience. Going into Surgery is scary. Both times, I was nervous, and she immediately helped calm me down. She was caring, patient, and very reassuring. But what really stood out was how she made me laugh when I needed it most. Her humor helped take my mind off my fear and made everything feel less overwhelming. She treated me like a person, not just a patient. I felt safe with her. I felt heard. I felt genuinely cared for. Having her there both times meant so much to me. She turned two stressful days into experiences where I felt supported and comforted. Olivia, thank you for the compassion, the reassurance, and the laughter when I needed it most. You made a lasting difference in my life, and I am so grateful for you!

I nominated Olivia two weeks ago when I had Surgery. I had to have a somewhat emergent Surgery today, and yet again, Olivia is the kindest soul. She calmed my nerves and made sure I was okay. She is such an awesome nurse who truly knows her job and truly cares for her patients. I will never forget her or the incredible care she gave me.
