Throughout my visit, I have witnessed a level of compassion and dedication that truly embodies what this Award represents. From the moment Octan entered the room, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and trust. She went above and beyond to make sure that me and my husband were cared for, treated with kindness and dignity. She explained things so that I could understand and answered all my questions.

What stands out most about Octan, was her genuine acts of compassion. She held my hand and provided comfort to me and my husband while I struggled with some serious bouts of pain. She genuinely cared about my comfort, diligently working with my MD to find ways to help improve my pain.

Octan is a perfect example of what nursing is founded on . She is compassionate, empathetic, dedicated, honest and showed great integrity and commitment to the care of her patient. Her compassion and the time she spent comforting me, really helped me heal and I feel so cared for. Best nurse ever!
