NSICU Nursing Team
I would like to take the time to give feedback regarding the compassionate care that's being bestowed upon my husband, who is currently an inpatient at the Sunrise Hospital Medical Center. Core nursing strengths include a strong moral compass while providing care with integrity and a strong focus on patient advocacy.
My husband, who was on vacation, became ill and required emergency medical hospitalization due to experiencing a stroke. This became an extremely vulnerable, frightening, and traumatic experience for our family. Given we are from other states and unfamiliar with the medical system in Nevada, the medical team immediately reassured us that the ambulance brought my husband to a hospital where quality patient care is of the utmost importance. Given the feedback, I was somewhat reassured, but fearful. He became an inpatient on the NSICU and upon encountering the nursing staff, and witnessing their clinical pros, including the following skill set below.:
The nurses on the team over the past few weeks have been amazing! They genuinely care about the patients, and it's evident in their work and commitment to the patients. They are extremely busy and still find time to be supportive of both the patients and family members. They seem to really take the time to do the best work. Every single one of the Nurses that I encountered had an extremely exceptional standard of care.
To name a few, Maria R, Sam, GiGi, Robert, Adrian, Juan, Aziza, and Monica. I would like to apologize in advance for the nurses whose names I can't recall. But the entire nursing team is deserving of recognition for their outstanding teamwork and commitment to each other as well. It was admirable to observe the team members offering to assist each other and interacting with each other in a professional, collaborative, and collegial manner.
The consistency in the standard approach and care is a testament to the leadership. Hence why I would like to thank the team and the organization for fostering a culture of quality patient care. The nurses all modeled the mission statement in their commitment to improving the patient's life. Given my husband's vulnerability, the nurses made decisions with his best interests in mind and communicated honestly with the family members. Every member of the Nursing team treated my husband like a family member.
I just wanted to highlight the hard work the team has demonstrated in the delivery of patient care.
