We came into work on a day when it just seemed like nothing could go smoothly. Multiple critical patients, internet connection going in and out, meals not coming out on time, and multiple frustrated patients and family members. Despite the impossibility of not being overwhelmed, Nina handled multiple situations simultaneously with a smile on her face and a positive attitude.

With every patient, she listened to understand and took the time to make sure everyone’s needs were met. She cares so deeply for all her patients as well as her coworkers. I’ve never met a nurse with such compassion and dedication, especially at her age. She goes above and beyond daily. I look forward to the shifts we have together. I always knew, no matter what was going on, everything would be okay. She’s the only nurse I’ve worked with that doesn’t care if something can be done by a CNA or housekeeping, she goes out of her way to get things done. Brief changes, tray passing, cleaning messes, you name it she never waits she gets it done on the spot. I admire her compassion and commitment. Thank you for all you do!

My 94-year-old father was a resident at Ridgecrest for three months after sustaining second-degree burns from a fall. Nino was a constant source of comfort and compassion for my father, as he was terribly depressed, having been an elderly, independent man. She always came in with a smile and encouraged him to keep fighting. Our family came to know Nina over the months, and she became our rock as well. She is a gentle soul with a beautiful approach for these very delicate residence.

Nina has such a professional and compassionate demeanor. My father was hungry, and one day she brought him a Subway sandwich. It made him so happy. Nina took excellent care of my father and made his final days better. Nina knows you make a profound difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones. Thank you for everything. You are an angel.

Nina, a breath of fresh air! She has taken time. It wasn't more than 5 minutes, but it was just what we needed to feel heard, and our loved one was gonna be taken care of while at Ridgecrest.

When I arrived at the nurses' station, people were sitting around and gabbing. People saw me but didn't acknowledge me. I had to break into the conversation and say hello. I am here to see the nurse for K. One nurse said, "Yes," and I asked if she was the nurse. She said, " Nope."

I had to ask who it was, and she said she just went into a room. I waited for who turned out to be Nina. She smiled! She was very kind and pleasant. She took time, she listened! After that, she came in to provide some medication. She spent five minutes answering questions. It was a breath of fresh air! Nina P has been the best nurse experience so far here.
