I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to Nurse Gayle Ledesma, whose kindness and compassion made a significant difference in my experience at AHMC.

During a particularly nerve-wracking biopsy, I mentioned how anxious and nervous I was, and that I might need a stress ball or something to hold onto to help divert my attention. Without hesitation—and beyond just offering words of comfort—Nurse Gayle personally offered her hand for me to squeeze during the procedure. I particularly noticed how she gently rubbed my hand, as if to assure me that everything would be okay and that I didn’t have to worry.
