In walks an energized nurse to my room and immediately puts me at ease, making me feel like help has just entered my room. Within minutes, Nicolette Wright has assessed the issue she intends to rectify and puts matters into action. First, she has stale blood underwear removed and dresses with a new bandage. Quickly after that, she has a stool softener ordered for addition to meals for the beginning of constipation.

Then, and most importantly, she has blood to draw as it was mistakenly stopped. This was important as my platelet level was critically low. And treatment was dependent on results. She had to remind and make sure the lab followed up before she went on her break. This came to a positive resolution. This nurse, as I said, almost immediately puts you into a comfort zone, which is one of the most important details a nurse is challenged with. This hospital has many good staff, but Nicolette is a leader and should be recognized for this potential. My thanks to her and the hospital for hiring employees like her.
