Nicole is the epitome of sunshine. She is bright in any room she walks into, making every patient feel warm and cared for. She is a great team player willing to help anyone in any department, whether assisting in putting in an IV, bringing a warm blanket, running specimens to the lab, or transporting patients. She advocates for each patient, ensuring they receive what they need to feel comfortable and receive the best possible treatment. 

I have witnessed her talk to multiple patients and comfort them when the unknown of their situation gets to them. No matter the patient's anger, fear, or anxiety, Nicole Vaughn can put them at ease and answer any questions they have. She ensures every patient feels like they are the only patient, no matter the chaos and business. Working with her is the best part of every shift she is on. She will make you want to be a better nurse, coworker, and friend. She is what a nurse should be: full of compassion and dedication to the community and the Shelby County ER.
