Nicole Jackson is an exceptional nurse and person. She works to bring the team in the operating room together through her continued positivity, hard work, and creativity. Nicole has gone out of her way to sew various scrub hats for team members and will even bring thoughtful gifts for the team during the holiday season and after her vacations. This year, she even put together a hot chocolate bar for the OR staff to enjoy during the holidays.

In her nursing care, Nicole always goes the extra mile to ensure that everything is reviewed prior to the case, the accurate supplies and instruments are available for the surgical team, and she will always go above and beyond to help the anesthesia team, when necessary, as well. As she often works night shift and is the charge nurse many nights, she is always professional and efficient when triaging cases that are booked and has had to deal with multiple busy nights with composure and grace. She is also excellent at setting up the rooms for the next day's cases and will complete each task with flying colors.

Nicole is also a member of shared governance and the co-chair of what was previously known as care delivery. She brings great ideas to ensure that our nursing care being provided is top notch and will work tirelessly to execute projects. She helped to bring the in-room supply carts to life for our forest ORs, and this has alleviated the burden from many team members. Nicole is also a member of the transplant team and will sometimes work long hours to help patients receive a second chance at life.

Although introverted, Nicole voices her care, compassion, and consideration for both her patients and team members in her generous and thoughtful way. Nicole will go out of her way to help you find a solution in a case and never shies away from an opportunity to help staff who are in cases. We are so blessed to have Nicole on our team and are lucky to know such an incredible person.
