My mom was transferred to the ICU after coming to the ER with trouble breathing. Nicole immediately made my mom feel safe, calm, and supported. During what can be a scary, anxious, and nerve-wracking experience for everyone involved, Nicole went above and beyond to clearly and calmly explain the plan of action and provide us with updates on test results. Nicole was always available when we needed her for little things like getting me a new mask to supporting my mom when she was frustrated, confused, and scared about her hospital stay. Our entire family is forever grateful to Nicole for the support and respect she showed my mom and all of her visitors throughout her stay in the ICU, and we will never forget the lengths that Nicole went to make my mom feel safe and comfortable during her time in the ICU. If there is ever a nurse who deserves recognition for their compassion, respect, and professionalism during an extremely scary time, it is Nicole.
