At Humboldt Park Health, we are fortunate to witness the heart of nursing in action every day. One nurse in particular stands out as a shining example of compassion, excellence, and leadership: Nennie Columna.

Nennie’s unwavering dedication to her patients, her colleagues, and the nursing profession is nothing short of inspiring. As the Clinical Coordinator of Telemetry/4B, she is often the first to lend a hand, whether it’s helping a family in need, assisting with a difficult IV start, or stepping in on her day off to ensure her unit is covered. Her strength, stamina, and deep-rooted kindness are matched only by her commitment to exceptional patient care.

Nennie leads by example. Her ability to anticipate needs, resolve challenges, and lift others up creates a ripple effect of calm, competence, and confidence throughout the unit. Her integrity, work ethic, and passion for nursing elevate everyone around her.
