Neila made an incredible difference in one of the most emotional and challenging seasons of my life. I spent 13 days in Labor & Delivery before the birth of my daughter, G. Because of my previous loss of my son, every day leading up to delivery was filled with fear, uncertainty, and anxiety. Throughout that entire stay, Neila was a constant source of comfort, reassurance, and hope.

From the very beginning, she treated me as more than just a patient. She took the time to listen, answer my endless questions, and acknowledge the emotional weight I was carrying. She understood that every monitor alarm, every test, and every quiet moment could bring back memories of my previous loss. Instead of dismissing those fears, she met them with compassion, patience, and understanding. When it came time to deliver G, I was so grateful that Neila was there. Her calm presence helped ease my fears during a moment that felt both joyful and terrifying. She provided exceptional clinical care while also making sure I felt emotionally supported every step of the way. Because of her, I could focus on welcoming my daughter into the world instead of being consumed by fear.

What sets Neila apart is how genuinely she connects with her patients. She went above and beyond during my 13-day hospital stay, checking on me, encouraging me, and reminding me that I wasn’t facing this journey alone. Her kindness wasn’t something she turned on for a shift—it was part of who she is. She made me feel seen, heard, and cared for during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I will always remember Neila as someone who helped carry me through those difficult days and into one of the happiest moments of my life. Her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering support embody everything the DAISY Award represents. I am forever grateful for the care she gave me and my family, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.

Thank you, Neila, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
