She is not only a skilled nurse but also someone who brings comfort and dignity to her patients when they need it most
During a recent hospital stay, I was fortunate to be cared for by a nurse named Natasha on the second floor. She was my nurse for two shifts during my time there, and in that short period, she made a lasting impact.
From the moment she entered my room, she made me feel like more than just a patient. She treated me like a person who mattered, especially while I was in pain. Whether it was helping me manage symptoms, checking in regularly, or making sure I had what I needed to feel okay. She showed genuine care every step of the way. She was also incredibly sweet and understanding with my family and boyfriend. She took the time to listen to their questions and concerns and talked and treated them with the same kindness and respect she showed me. That meant a lot to all of us.
She never made me feel like a burden, no matter how many times I needed something. She explained things clearly, anticipated my needs, and always followed through. It was the little things like reassuring words, the respectful care, and the way she moved quickly but never rushed me that made such a big difference. Natasha truly represents everything the DAISY Award is meant to honor. She is not only a skilled nurse but also someone who brings comfort and dignity to her patients when they need it most. I'm incredibly grateful for her presence and the care she gave during my stay.
