August 2026 Honoree
Natalie Taylor, MSN, RN
Natalie has been a cornerstone of the leadership team at Baptist Health, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to teaching and professional collaboration throughout her career.
Natalie is the reason I work at Baptist Health. She hired me as a new graduate in 2002, remembering me from my internship in the NICU. Her humble and kind nature is truly inspiring, and she may not even realize the profound impact she has had on my journey as a nurse and a leader. When I passed my nursing boards, she was the third person I told after my parents. I vividly recall her words: "When you pass your boards, call me; I have a job for you." That call was the beginning of a wonderful career.
Fast forward to my interview for a Director position at Baptist South; there she was again, offering a friendly smile and a reassuring presence during a nerve-wracking panel interview. More recently, at a crossroads in my career, I found myself needing encouragement. By some divine intervention, I encountered Natalie in the parking garage. She spent half an hour speaking with me, offering invaluable support and a positive perspective.
Natalie embodies the mission of Baptist Health in every sense. Her leadership is exemplary, evidenced by her engagement scores and the numerous individuals who aspire to work under her guidance. She has consistently been a role model, caring deeply about the human factor in all of us. When you speak to Natalie, you know she has your best interests at heart.
I believe it is important for everyone at Baptist Health to recognize what a special person we have in Natalie. The impact she has had on my life and the lives of so many others is immeasurable. I would not be where I am today without her support and mentorship.
Natalie Taylor exemplifies Magnet Nursing Leadership for best practice and collaboration, as well as the compassionate, caring, supportive leadership of a DAISY Nurse Leader. She is more than deserving of this recognition, and I wholeheartedly support her nomination for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
Thank you for considering Natalie for this prestigious honor.
