Our sweet little girl, N, was returned to the PICU after a 44 long hospitalization from from November through December, by ambulance the day after Christmas clearly dying. The horrific mixed emotions of disbelief, and ruthless obvious truth that N was dying.
Upon being received in the Emergency room her B/P 41 / 14, labs that indicated she was in multi-organ failure and clearly her body was done and tired. A bed available, her 2nd home in the PICU where she was brought in hopes to survive through the night to be guided home to Heaven by our doctor who has been in N’s many hospitalizations and near death many times before and very close to our family would join us in the morning to see her comfortably go home to Jesus and her daddy.
Upon her entering her room, a gentle, kind, most compassionate, sweetest, attentive nurse, Natalie, took over N’s care of her tiny fragile dying presence. Natalie was beyond any words I could possibly describe other than a “Angel” that took care of N the entire night as though it was her own child. She addressed every single detail in the care and comfort of N, checked on my daughter (N’s sister) and myself frequently if we needed anything and was so amazing and completely impressive in her care to get N through the night till morning.
We could not ask for anything more perfect, more attentive more compassionate than the care that Natalie gave to N. Natalieis a true DAISY Nurse and her Nursing excellence shows especially in the most delicate most emotional, most surreal moments of our life through N’s 26 years of her precious life. Thank you, Natalie!
