Natalia let me know immediately that she had an extra car I was more than welcome to use for however long I needed it. She had her husband bring the car and extra keys for me that same afternoon and let me borrow it for over two months for no charge.
I want to share how one nurse takes care of other nurses to promote well-being. Natalia is always willing to show compassion for her patients and her peers. There are several instances I can speak on to show how caring she is. When there is a case that may need extra support from staff, Natalia offers to stay late so they can perform the procedure faster and have positive outcomes. The Cath PACU received report that a patient's room was ready. Natalia, knowing how busy the area was, volunteered to travel with the patient to TDCJ so he could get a warm meal before the kitchen stopped serving dinner. This allowed the Cath PACU team to continue focusing on the patients in the recovery area and didn't have an impact on the standard of care in the Cath Lab.

Natalia received communication from one of her peers that she was in a car accident. Natalia was planning to leave for vacation and volunteered her car so the nurse could have transportation. This kind gesture reduced the stress of her peer, who was able to think about how to put her life back together and not stress how she would be able to work daily.

A final selfless act of kindness occurred when one of Natalia's peers started feeling ill. Natalia volunteered to take her call so she could work on feeling better and manage her mother's illness. Natalia shows care and compassion to both patients and staff alike. She brings joy to this very high-stress area with Natalia just being herself. I have not seen someone give so much and is kind to everyone.

Back in November, a car pulled out in front of me and totaled my car on my way to work. Since the wreck occurred only a couple blocks away and I wasn't injured, I decided to go in, even though I wasn't sure how I was getting home yet. When I got to work, Natalia let me know immediately that she had an extra car I was more than welcome to use for however long I needed it. She had her husband bring the car and extra keys for me that same afternoon and let me borrow it for over two months for no charge. She never once didn't trust me not to take care of it. She lent it to me immediately with no questions asked - I needed a temporary vehicle to get around and she had one so she lent it to me, it was that easy to her. I am extremely grateful for her trust and generosity, as I'm not sure what I would have done without it during that time! Our cath lab team is lucky to have such a genuinely caring and generous addition in Natalia.
