When I came in to have my induction, I had a fair amount of anxiety. I had hemorrhaged with my previous two deliveries. I anticipated hemorrhaging with this birth as well, and I had a fairly extensive birth plan in hopes of being as prepared for a crisis if it were to come.

Natalia never made me feel like my strange requests were unwelcome. I felt heard and safe in her care. Natalia reassured me she would be here to advocate for me and explained what she intended to do on the medical side.

My labor went quicker than expected, and I found myself in the bathroom with a crowning baby. I called Natalia, and she quickly jumped into action, delivering my baby right there in the bathroom with the assistance of another nurse because the doctor would not enter the bathroom. Together they loosened a nuchal cord, and my baby was safely born. I was assisted to the bed where I did not hemorrhage.
