Nancy McKenzie, RN
I am recognizing Nurse Nancy because she was very comforting during a really scary time in my life. I had to have an unexpected surgery and overnight stay in the hospital on just a few hours' notice. I was really scared.
From the moment I met Nancy, she was very gentle and respectful, not to mention funny. She didn’t just provide medical care; she gave me safety, kindness, and compassion. She treated me like a granddaughter. She made the moments leading up to surgery a little less scary, and I will never forget that. - Patient

As a mom, I want to recognize Nancy for being such a wonderful nurse. She made the day feel less frightening for all of us. My daughter had never had a hospital stay, IV, MRI, or any of what happened that day, and she was terrified. Nancy eased our minds about all of it.
Nancy was funny, compassionate, caring, and showed so much kindness for my daughter. She never once minimized her fears. She spoke with gentleness and respect. She embodies what nursing is all about, and I will forever be grateful for her.
