When one feels in control of their life, it can be jarring to be admitted to the hospital. Morris Rellera really demonstrated what it means to be a nurse during some of the most difficult times in people's lives. A veteran who was hospitalized for atrial fibrillation wrote to the SFVA about what a pleasure it was to encounter Morris during this time that he felt he "was on death's door." He was particularly impressed with Morris's "patience, no equivocation, outstanding character, and take charge attitude" that put him "at greater ease." He wrote how he "knew [he] was in good hands from the offset," that he could not overemphasize his "appreciation for his outstanding treatment and consideration," and felt that his "progress was hinged directly with [Morris's] honestly sincere attitude, thoughtfulness, and skill."
