Our first experience with Oneida Health was under the most difficult situations a family could bear. My father, my hero, a long-time patient of Morgan’s mom, was losing his battle with a terrible illness. We decided to send him to Oneida, 40 minutes out of the way, because Morgan's mom was there, and we trusted her implicitly.

It was there we met Morgan, the spitting image of her mom, a sweet young lady with a love for her profession and a level of compassion I had never seen from a stranger. She would stop by to peek in on Dad and say hi, and to peek in with us as well whenever she could. She would take the time to sit with each of us and listen to our stories of my dad, hug us, let us cry, and always ask if there was more she could do or if there was anything more we needed.

On his last day before transfer to the Abraham House, she got him ready. She told us he looked handsome, and it was her honor to take care of him. She and her mom both came to his services. I was so impressed that a young lady had the compassion of a seasoned nurse with years of professionalism. I cannot thank the Clute ladies enough, and we love them. Somewhere in our grief, we found an extended family.

We are blessed that God put them with my father.
