Even though she is not fluent in Spanish, she took the time to learn the language so that she can communicate with most of the patients she cares for and meet their needs.
Monica has been working in the endoscopy suite for over four years. She has been assisting in general and advanced endoscopic procedures. She completed her preceptorship training and precepting and mentoring new staff in the unit. She is also a member of the Shared Governance Council and participates in departmental and hospital-wide project improvement initiatives, leading the departmental PI efforts. She rapidly adapts to changes in the nature of her assignment. She is a very versatile team player, capable of handling diverse assignments or areas within ambulatory care services. She demonstrates a keen ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities, quickly adapting to deviations from a pre-planned schedule and course of action. She is reliable in terms of attendance and punctuality, and always willing to work long hours on little or no notice. She also assumes the role of charge nurse, fostering creative collaboration by providing the team with a common focus and skillfully adjusting direction when faced with new information. She works well with patients and staff members. She provides a warm rapport with everyone she comes in contact with.

She also demonstrates the effective managerial skills necessary to drive a project or objective forward. She treats everyone with respect and assigns tasks fairly and evenly. Willingly accepts constructive criticisms and displays a high level of enthusiasm, wit, and spontaneity.
