I warmly write to express my heartfelt appreciation for UCU Nurse Mohammad Hamdan. His extraordinary care for my 5-year-old son during a recent visit to the UCU truly deserves recognition. My son came in with a deep cut on his hand, and as I rushed him to the UCU, I had to park my car in a nearby area. I was anxious to leave my son even for a few moments.

When I returned, I found Nurse Mohammad with my son, caring for him as if he were his own child. He had cleaned his hand, reassured him, and was actively engaging him in play. Seeing my son laughing and enjoying chocolate and juice under Mohammad's care was a tremendous relief. Throughout the entire process, including when the doctor was gluing my son’s hand, Mohammad remained by his side. He skillfully diverted his attention to minimize his discomfort, showing exceptional compassion and skill. His dedication did not end there; he continued to care for my son until our last moments in the unit, guiding us to the pharmacy and exit with a warm smile.

Nurse Mohammad Hamdan exemplifies the qualities of kindness and person-centered care, making him a role model for all nurses at JHAH. His ability to connect with children and provide comfort in distressing situations is truly commendable. I am incredibly grateful for the care he provided my son during such a worrying time.
