When your child goes into surgery and you, as a parent, are no longer in control, your anxiety heightens. Miranda and the staff in pre-op took the time to comfort my son and play games with him to accomplish tasks. She was so bright and energetic. My severely anxious (diagnosed) son played along with her and went back for his procedure very easily. The comfort she gave both myself and my son warms my heart and makes me feel confident he was taken care of with the utmost care. Not only did she hold my son for hugs/comfort, but she also checked in on me (a blubbery mess in the waiting room). She and all the nurses deserve the utmost respect and applause.
