Miranda was extraordinary. She wasn't just my nurse, she was a steady light in the darkness.
We had to leave Asheville because of Hurricane Helene when I was 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant. My scheduled C-section couldn't happen there because the hospital was damaged. Uprooting our lives, leaving everything familiar behind, and stepping into the unknown, especially so close to giving birth, was overwhelming and terrifying.

had no idea what to expect, and everything felt so out of my control. While every nurse who cared for us was wonderful, Miranda was extraordinary. She wasn't just my nurse, she was a steady light in the darkness. She took care of my newborn son and me with so much love. Every time she walked into the room, the fear and chaos melted away.

She reassured me with her presence alone, but more than that, she made me feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. Miranda didn't just tend to my postpartum needs; she nurtured my heart. She laughed with us, she cried with us, and she somehow knew exactly what I needed, whether it was a comforting word or a special drink to make me feel human again.

Amid so much uncertainty, she wrapped us in warmth and kindness. I will never forget the way she made me feel in those moments. She changed my experience in a way that is difficult to capture, and I will carry my gratitude for her forever.

Thank you, , Miranda from the bottom of my heart.
