Mindy Galli, RN

Mindy was very attentive and compassionate and went out of her way to make you feel comfortable; she is kind-hearted and patient. My wife was there for 4 days, and the last 2 we had Mindy as our RN, and she was WAY better than anyone else who helped us. That's not to take away from any of the other nurses who attended her because they were all amazing, but she simply stood out. Mindy took the time to recommend books for my wife during a difficult time; not only that, but at one point my wife had a panic attack, and Mindy quickly and calmly jumped into action, controlling the situation on her own, administering meds, and helping to calm her down by asking her questions that brought the anxiety and stress down. Her soft and soothing voice was like a ray of sunshine piercing through the storm, effectively bringing peace to my wife and me. Overall, she made it as pleasant as possible to be in the hospital, which is quite possibly a very underappreciated skill for a nurse to possess, which is why I believe she is the ideal candidate for this Award.
