I truly had the best experience with Mila as my nurse, and I appreciate all that she did for my baby girl and me.
I was induced into labor, and Mila came in on her shift the following morning, just as I was in pain and getting my epidural. From the time I just got my epidural to the time I had my baby, Mila, and the Student nurse whose name I forgot were both so incredibly patient with me and never left my side unless they had to.

Mila saw that I was dilated to 9cm, but part of my cervix was in the way. Mila put me in all the positions to get my cervix fully open so I could get my baby girl out as quickly as possible. Once I started pushing, she started warm compresses so that I would not rip. I only had first-degree tears, and I account for Mila’s efforts.

After I delivered, I was losing a bit of blood, which was a little bit of a problem due to my hemoglobin levels being a little low. Mila was so calm and collected that I was able to not worry about it as much since she made me feel safe at that moment.

I truly had the best experience with Mila as my nurse, and I appreciate all that she did for my baby girl and me. I can’t thank her enough, but I feel this is one of the best ways that I can.

***

It was my first time ever staying in a hospital period, but it was also my first time having a child. My nurse went way above and beyond what she should have done. I was very scared throughout the entire process, and she was there every step of the way, making me feel safe. I had come in because I had gestational hypertension, and I had to get induced.

I did not want to have a C-section, but I would not go past 3 cm. However, Mila did everything in her power to try to get me to have my baby naturally. She came every thirty minutes to an hour to turn me into different positions, to give me encouragement, and to just hold my hand whenever I was scared and crying.

Unfortunately, my baby's cord was too big, and it wouldn't let her descend through my birth canal, so I did end up having to have a C-section. But because of the nourishment there for me and the words of encouragement, I was able to stay calm, and my baby was born very happy and healthy!

If it wasn't for Mila, I don't know what I would have done. Mila is such an amazing, wonderful nurse and person.
