Michelle had such a warm and wonderful personality.

I am a 70-year-old man with an extensive cardiac history. I have had open heart surgery in 2003 and have lived in 4 states since my open-heart surgery and had 28 stents placed, 3 angioplasties, and 2 brachytherapies. I can say without any hesitation that the nurses that cared for me during my stay were by far the best nurses I have had in four states since 2003.

Two nurses in particular were outstanding. I know they both had other patients to take care of, but always made me feel as if I was the most important to care for. Michelle made sure I was given a hot meal and that all my meds were administered. She had such a warm and wonderful personality, which goes a long way when you are an older person with no family or friends to visit. Michelle would come in just to check on me, and carry on a brief conversation. I couldn’t wait to see her the next time that she worked. Michelle was a delight! Her personality was infectious. She had a smile on her face every time she entered my room. She made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain.

I remember telling her don’t worry about me, I know you have other patients to care for. She said none were more important than me. When she was leaving in the morning, she came in and said what a pleasure it was for her to care for me and gave me a hug good-bye. Michelle is an outstanding nurse. She deserves recognition and a raise and a promotion.
