I first met Michelle when my brother had just gotten to his room from the recovery unit when he had his knee replacement. She came in smiling and was off work, but she wanted to check on my brother. She made sure he was comfortable and made sure she answered all of our questions.

A few days later my brother had complications from his surgery and Michelle made a house call on her way home and provided him with the care needed. She took care of his wound and the next day she came back and checked in on him and made sure his leg was ok. Michelle also made sure that he was seen for further care and followed through with the appointment. She came to the wound care unit and made sure he was well taken care of.

She eased our minds and she made sure that he knew the appropriate things to do at home. I know every nurse does not have the time to do this, but she went above and beyond to make sure my brother was well taken care of! I can only assume she is like this with all her patients! She deserves recognition for being a very caring, loving, knowledgeable and sincere nurse! With nurses like her around it makes your whole hospital shine in a bright light!
