From the time Mom was admitted onto the fifth floor, the caregiver was wonderful, but when Michela came on board, the care was elevated. Mom‘s almost 98, first time ever she had fallen, early dementia, going on, and is also hard of hearing. She was scared, not knowing where she was and what was happening. Then, at 7 AM, walked one of the most caring, very professional nurses, by the name of Michela. She works days on the fifth floor. I was scared for my mom, not knowing the extent of her injuries, and she is a little fragile thing. Michela was there to calm us down. She talked to us along the way, explaining step-by-step, and kind of took my mom under her wing to make sure she was comfortable. That kind of compassion is what put us all at ease, especially Mom. You don’t get to have people like her come into your life very often. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. You are lucky to have her on your staff.
