Michaellyn Pasztor is the "best of the best". She has fabulous nursing skills, however, it is her kindness and compassion to provide the best nursing services to patients that makes her an extraordinary nurse. When I was wheeled into the Orthopedics unit, I was asked what outstanding care meant to me. I told the nurse that I wanted an efficient and effective nurse. However, with Michaellyn, I received not only outstanding efficient and effective high-quality nursing skills from a true professional but a nurse who always welcomed me with a huge smile.
I could see the warmth and kindness in her smile and she checked on me frequently just to make sure I was doing okay. I was only one day out of surgery and she asked if she could cut my chicken breast into pieces so I could enjoy my salad at lunchtime. Wow! We had brief conversations, however, I really felt that I was getting to know Michaellyn, the person, as well as the nurse. I learned of her love of tennis and how she enjoys teaching young girls how to play which gave me an insight into her community service.
Michaellyn gave me several hugs during her 12-hour shift which made me feel so wonderful because everyone can use a hug especially when they find themselves unexpectedly in the hospital after an accident. Michaellyn is an exceptional nurse who really is interested in her patients and offers exceptional nursing services. She is so genuine and compassionate and goes above and beyond to make your stay an exceptional experience. Michaellyn is an asset to Mission Hospital and the patients she serves.

Michaellyn glows! Her smile is contagious, her love for her patients just pours out of her and seeps through every cell! The level of care she provided me was top notch. All questions answered and if she didn't know the certain truth or fact she honestly said so and found out the information I needed as soon as she could.
She is a confidence raiser with a "you can do it" attitude, just don't overdo it! Great focus on the task at hand. Michaellyn develops a rapport with everyone and maintains the high standard of care Mission strives for. She made my days so bright in spite of how I felt physically. When I was away for a few minutes getting tests done, the second I arrived back to my room she welcomed me again as if it were the first time she met me. A loving soul with a warm heart!
