My father is a very impatient patient. Michael is one of the few nurses who was able to calm my father down and comfort him during his stay. I flew in from Las Vegas when I heard my father was being admitted. Instead of telling me about his health status. My father filled me with praises about how caring his nurse was, and from making sure he had enough blankets, water, meals, informing him on the importance of medication, and that it's never too late to go to nursing school, as his nurse was 44 when he graduated. It warmed my heart to know that, despite my father being ill, he found happiness with the nurse who was caring for him during his stay.

Apparently, he and my father share the same birthday. The personal touch of acknowledging my father's birthday was above and beyond. Michael really found a way to connect with my father during his stay. The best advice he gave was a reminder for my father to watch his weight daily to ensure he doesn't end up in the hospital with another episode of CHF. Something so simple that, according to my father, no one has shared with him before, Michael truly went above and beyond! Aside from his nursing duties, he found a way to touch not only my father's heart but our whole family. Thank you, Michael.
