Mike’s parting words were for my husband to hang on to hope. That comment helped a lot in a frustrating situation.
Since my husband was airlifted here from our home hospital in Crescent City, California, I was unable to accompany him and had to wait for a ride to Napa. That left my husband alone, anxious, and in pain, waiting for word about his condition. As my husband's nurse, Mike did all he could to not only address my husband's immediate physical needs but also chatted amiably, making a personal connection that made my husband feel not just attended to but cared for. Mike took the time to discuss his hobbies, showing interest in my husband even after I arrived. Mike’s parting words were for my husband to hang on to hope. That comment helped a lot in a frustrating situation. All of the nurses, doctors, and staff have been wonderful. Mike was exceptional.

Mike was my night nurse, and he recognized me from two weeks prior when I was here for atrial fibrillation in the cardio unit. He was friendly, caring, and went above and beyond to take care of my needs and make me feel comfortable. He helped me with tips on how to use my smart watch, which really helped me so much. He's a rock star!
