On Sunday, the NICU had an infant pass away. The photographer that we use to take post-mortem photos was unavailable. Mia, a Women's Health Float Pool RN, and professional photographer was asked if she would be able to take photos for the family. She said yes without question, even after working a full night shift. She went home, got her supplies, and even bought a few items to help dress the infant. A few days later, this patient's sister passed away. The parents absolutely loved Mia's photos and requested her again. I called her on her day off and without hesitation, she said yes. Mia once again came in on her day off and did an amazing job in taking photos of the infant. Mia truly went above and beyond to create lifelong, precious memories for the parents who lost both their daughters. Thank you again, Mia!
