I had the absolute privilege of working with Mia-Faire. She is an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable nurse who has deep empathy for her patients. 

In this particular instance, we had a very sick patient who had been with us in the hospital for roughly three months. This patient had slowly decompensated and required extensive around-the-clock care. They had a significant abdominal wound that was particularly demanding with regard to dressing changes. This patient had ongoing goals-of-care discussions and clearly was at the end of the road in terms of prognosis. 

Mia-Faire went above and beyond in her care for this gentleman. At this time, there was nothing much we could do medically or surgically, and Mia-Faire provided the best medicine possible – comfort. 

She went to great lengths to bathe this patient, including washing his hair, which, to my knowledge, hadn't been done in a long while. She ensured he was clean and comfortable, more so than I had seen in quite some time. 

Her attention to her patients’ needs is far above what is required of her, and she does it with an incredible attitude. I have no doubt she is consistently going above and beyond for her patients. If I were ever to be a patient, I would ask for her specifically by name. When I see that I have Mia-Faire on my team, I know I can count on her.
