Merissa Geoghagen, RN

I am nominating Nurse Geoghagen for the exceptional care she provided during my four-day stay after my hysterectomy. From the moment I arrived on the unit, she demonstrated remarkable professionalism, empathy, and dedication. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and recovery. She checked on me multiple times throughout the day to ensure I was comfortable and that my needs were met. She explained every single thing in detail, including every medication given, what it was for, and when the next dose would be administered.

What stood out most was her genuine smile and compassion. She treated me like I knew her before now, not just as a patient. It was my first time staying at a hospital, and I was scared. However, I had a good group of nurses attending to me throughout my four-day stay. I felt safe and well taken care of. Nurse Geoghagen’s kindness, experience, and dedication helped make my stay comfortable. I believe she deserves this award because she embodies the values of nursing excellence and deserves to be recognized for her contributions.
