Meredith was nominated by multiple patients and team members who praised her kindness, compassion, and the joy she brings to every shift. Whether it’s her bright smile, uplifting attitude, or willingness to go the extra mile, Meredith truly embodies what it means to be a caring nurse. Here are a few of her nominations:

I was recently admitted for an infection and Meredith was my nurse, from the time I arrived to my room she was ready and eager to help take care of me. She explained everything to me, asked if I had any questions and thoroughly answered the ones I did have. She displays what every nurse should strive to be; caring, compassionate, a team player, very knowledgeable, treats patients as people and not just a patient.

I work on the same floor as Meredith, but I work night shift. When I see Meredith come in, she’s always got a smile on her face and ready to face the day. Never once have I seen her in a bad mood, she stays over if needed and is always willing to help. Meredith would make a great DAISY Nurse to add to the many others who have received this award.

Meredith went above and beyond to take care of our mother. She even came in on her off day to check on her. She made sure to check on us routinely even though she was not our nurse that day. She treated us just like family. When Meredith found out that our mother has passed away she sent a card along with a personal letter to us. This meant the world. She is such a treasure to our family. She is truly an Extraordinary Nurse.
