I have had her in a previous surgery & she was so nice, friendly, comforting. Just a joy to be around that I called to ask if I could have her on this surgery if at all possible. They said they would try. When I got there, I was overly nervous, on the verge of tears, while sitting in the waiting room with my daughter, and she came out and called my name. I immediately felt calm, and a peace came over me like "hey, you're going to be ok, Melisa has got you". I am a nurse, and I know what it takes to take care of patients, but when you are the patient, it is different. Melisa is truly remarkable in every way. She is professional, was great with my IV stick, and made me feel so much better. I want her to be acknowledged for the ease she made me feel that day, for the hard work, and the seamless transition I had while I was a patient. Melisa is a real gem.
