Melli's presence itself promotes a healing environment. She is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She has contributed to the numerous hours spent trying to find placement for a difficult patient. She has also made the courtyard a serene place enjoyed by staff but now especially by this patient who has been in our facility for 6 weeks. He enjoys being outdoors and her efforts in the courtyard give him a place to spend time that brings him joy. I have never heard her say "that's not my job". She will do whatever it takes to bring comfort and healing to the patients at our facility. She never gives up on them, even when circumstances are difficult. She does an amazing job of coordinating with the pharmacy department for patients who need antibiotic outpatient infusions in order to be discharged. Melli treats everyone with dignity, and her patients remember her.
