When he was moved to a room on Tuesday, my family had the great fortune of Dad being placed under Melanie's care. I have no doubt there are many excellent and compassionate nurses here at Morristown, but in my experience, Melanie is truly exceptional! I will never forget her kindness and patience with Dad when he was mentally altered from delirium. She remained calm, kind, and supportive, even when Dad was confused about how to swallow his pills.

Melanie was also incredibly supportive and compassionate to me as I struggled to cope with his medical situation. Tuesday was an especially challenging day because my 91-year-old mother was at Gagnon having her pacemaker battery replaced, literally at the same time as Dad was moving to his room. Melanie made that tough day as smooth and hope-filled as it could have been. Knowing that Melanie would be there when I returned on Wednesday morning lifted my weary mood. She could not have been more supportive and helpful throughout the time I was with Dad on Wednesday. She even reminded me to "take 5 minutes" for myself. She is an amazing asset to your hospital!
