This is the second time Meghan has cared for my dad, who is 80. He came to the VA for urinary problems. They did surgery to drain a pus pocket in his prostate. After the surgery, he wouldn't wake up. When his nurse called for assistance, Meghan was one of the first to arrive and jumped right in trying to help my father. When his blood pressure started to crash, they moved him to the ICU, where Meghan was his primary nurse. She not only took excellent care of my father, but she also made sure my mom was doing OK. Meghan would tell my mom everything she was doing, what the names of all the IV meds were, and what they were for. She showed my mom which numbers to watch on his monitor. She would explain everything the doctor told my mom so she would fully understand. Meghan is not only an excellent nurse and a very valuable asset to your hospital, but she is also a very caring and understanding human being with a compassion for others that can't be measured.
