He feels like even when he doesn't have an appointment, she is working on his treatment plan.
My husband was run over by a truck when he was 12 years old and has a foot/leg that is compromised. His ankle is fused, missing a toe, and his foot and ankle are covered in skin grafts. After that experience he absolutely hates going to any healthcare facility. In October of this year, he got a sore in the crease where your foot moves when walking. He normally can "doctor" it himself after years of experience. This time, he couldn't, and it progressively got worse. A couple of rounds of antibiotics later and a referral to wound care, which, being a business owner of a manufacturing plant with employees that count on us, we are so thankful to have wound care in Prineville and not have to travel to Bend. After trying different treatments and a couple of different nurses, Megan took over his care and has been absolutely awesome. He says, "She must live and breathe this stuff," and he feels like even when he doesn't have an appointment, she is working on his treatment plan. My husband has seen her once a week for several months now and is almost healed. I truly believe that if it wasn't for her and her compassion, caring, being real with him and not wasting his time he would have quit and tried to figure it out himself.
