Megan truly went above and beyond and really helped be a light of kindness and compassion during a very dark and depressing time.
On March 18, 2025, my husband and I went for our first prenatal visit. We were given devastating news that our baby had died. Megan went above and beyond for us. When she came into the room, I was crying and very upset. I had no idea that there would be anything wrong with our baby, as I was still having all the normal pregnancy symptoms. There was no sign that anything was wrong.
Megan came over and gave me a hug, and stayed with me, and told me she would be there for me and comforted me in that moment. At that time, she told us that we would go up front and schedule a confirmation ultrasound. She gave us a beautiful sympathy card from the office with a crocheted item to remember our baby. With all the thoughts racing through my head, I knew that there was no way I was going to be able to go to the desk up front and schedule that exam.
Megan just knew. She said, "You know what, never mind, I'll go get that scheduled for you." Megan got our exam scheduled for later that afternoon and came right back and gave us the appointment card. As soon as we got home later that day, she called and assisted us in scheduling our follow-up appointment. I didn't have to wait to wonder when the call would come.
I felt very valued as a patient and not as if I was just another person going through the worst day of their life. It didn't feel like she was just doing her job. Megan truly went above and beyond and really helped be a light of kindness and compassion during a very dark and depressing time. I am very grateful, as is my husband, for her compassion and kindness she shared with me and our family, and she definitely should be recognized for her excellent care.
