I am nominating the Medical Imaging Outpatient Holding Team for this award. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The disease has caused him to deal with ascites on a growing level, which requires a paracentesis to remove the fluid. It has started to become a necessity on almost a weekly basis now. Everyone from the scheduling personnel to all of the nurses, etc., has gone out of their way to help us get him in for the procedure whenever he needs it, to holding his hand while the tube is inserted.

They are such caring and wonderful people. They know us by name and take care of us like we are their family. I've had the opportunity to view them in their environment, not only with my husband and me but also with all of the other patients they serve. And they treat every patient with the same care and compassion that they treat my husband with.

Everyone else on the team treats every patient with such kindness, and they emulate Ascension's Mission and Values every day, and they do it with such grace. They are more than deserving of this award! If there was any other way to acknowledge them and their dedication to our patients, I would do so in a heartbeat.
